Your work stays yours.
Privacy should be easy to understand. Here is what stays on your iPhone, when Apple services are involved, and what happens if you contact us.
Who is responsible
GPS Stamp is published by Arash Sakian, based in Armenia. This policy covers the GPS Stamp iPhone app and this product website. For privacy questions or requests, email arash.armenia97@gmail.com.
Your photos and records
The app processes photos, selected photo metadata, capture time, location, GPS accuracy, altitude, heading, job details, notes, equipment details, annotations, templates, logos and preferences on your iPhone. It creates a separate stamped image while retaining the original. These records are stored in the app’s local storage.
The app does not require an account and has no developer-operated photo backend, advertising SDK or AI processing service. It does not automatically upload your photos or job records to the publisher, sell them or use them for advertising.
Permissions you control
- Camera: used when you choose to take a photo.
- Location while using the app: used to add device-reported location, accuracy, altitude and heading where available. GPS Stamp does not request continuous background location tracking.
- Selected photos: imported when you choose them through the photo picker.
- Saving to Photos: requested when you choose to save copies to your photo library.
You can change permissions in iPhone Settings. You can still review local records if you decline camera or location access; features that require a denied permission may be unavailable.
Apple services
Apple Maps may contact Apple to load map imagery when a map view is open. The app’s photo points, paths, areas and export calculations are processed locally. Apple’s handling of map and service information is described in Apple Maps & Privacy.
Apple processes App Store purchases and restores through StoreKit. The app reads purchase entitlements to enable Pro features; the publisher does not receive your payment-card details. Apple also controls any App Store diagnostics and operating-system services governed by your Apple settings.
Purchases and RevenueCat
RevenueCat helps validate purchases and restore Pro access. When configured in the app, it processes an app-generated identifier, purchase and entitlement information, and technical request information. We do not send photos, GPS coordinates, job names or notes to RevenueCat. Apple handles payment details. See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.
Optional usage statistics and crash reports
GPS Stamp includes Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics from Google. Usage statistics and automatic crash-report sharing are off by default. You can enable either separately in Settings under Help improve GPS Stamp and turn it off again at any time.
Usage statistics report actions such as capturing or saving a photo, opening maps, completing onboarding, exporting, and purchase outcomes, together with SDK-generated app, session and technical device information. Analytics may infer an approximate region from the network connection; our events do not contain precise GPS coordinates. Crash reports contain technical crash, app and device information. We do not attach photos, job records, filenames, notes or location readings to these reports. There is no session replay or screen recording.
Advertising personalization and advertising identifier collection are disabled. Disabling statistics stops further app-event collection and resets the local Analytics identifier; disabling crash sharing deletes unsent crash reports. These actions do not automatically erase reports previously received by Google. Contact us for privacy requests. Google processes this information under its applicable terms, retention settings and Firebase privacy and security policies.
Sharing and backups
Files leave the app when you choose to save, export or share them. The destination you choose, including Photos, Files, Mail or a cloud provider, handles those files under its own terms. A stamped photo or report can disclose locations, notes, equipment details and other selected fields to its recipient.
You can create a local backup package and choose where to store it. iOS device backups, iCloud Photos and other system settings may also copy device or photo-library data through Apple services. The app does not provide its own cloud synchronization service.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you delete them, erase the app’s data or remove the app. Deleted records are recoverable through Recently Deleted for up to 30 days before the app removes expired records and their local media; permanent deletion is also available. Deletion from the app does not remove copies you previously exported or saved elsewhere.
Uninstalling the app can remove local data. Keep a backup or exports you need before removing it or changing devices. We cannot recover local records from a publisher server because they are not stored on one.
Website and messages
This website uses locally hosted images, fonts provided by your device, and no advertising or analytics scripts. It does not ask for your device location or camera. No tracking cookies are set by the site code. Vercel, our hosting provider, may process technical request information such as IP address, browser details and request logs to deliver and protect the website; see Vercel’s Privacy Notice.
The contact form prepares a message in your email app. It does not submit the form contents to this website. A message reaches us only if you send it from your email app. When you email us, your address and the content you choose to send are handled through our email provider, Gmail, and used to respond, troubleshoot and manage the request. We keep support correspondence only as needed for that purpose and applicable legal obligations.
In-app diagnostics are generated locally at your request and omit photos, coordinates, job names, notes and filenames. They are shared only if you choose to send the file.
Your choices and rights
You control app permissions, local deletion, backups and sharing. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information held by the publisher, or object to or restrict its processing. Email arash.armenia97@gmail.com to make a request. We may need to verify that a request comes from the person concerned.
We cannot access or delete files that exist only on your iPhone or in another provider’s service. Use the app, device or destination service controls for those copies.
Children and updates
GPS Stamp is intended for general photo documentation, not as a service directed at children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us in a support message, contact us so we can address it.
We may update this policy when functionality or data practices change. The date above identifies this version. Material changes will be reflected in the updated policy and, where appropriate, communicated in the app.
